[Guide] How to adapt L2off HTMs for L2J in no time
« on: August 23, 2012, 09:16:40 AM »
Hello folks!

This guide is mainly directed to the begginers which would like to help with starting sharing quest.

Thus let's begin!

Primo:

In order to start we have to download the multi-purpose 'harvester'  :D

Ladies and Gentlemen. In the Right Corner, the master of all text editors ever, written in pure C++, we have the one, the only..

NOTEPAD ++  :-[!
(click to download from the official site)

Let's scratch that whole installation process, since it should go without problems. Note the fact that the language pack is very extensive.. Sweet stuff.

Secundo:

What's the difference between off and l2j htms? The question is simple, it's all about encoding. While official htms are encoded in UCS-2 or UTF-8 (depends on what kind of text editor we open them), Java ones are using ANSI encode. And now I'll show ya how to use Notepad++ to change them without wasting time.

(note: you need to pause the movie while the txt content appears.)

Tertio:

I advice to check all the Notepad++ options. The encoding stuff is just like 10% of the capabilities ;)
Don't forget to change the htms bypasses to fit them to the quest you are working at!

You should add support for l2off bypasses. It's not that hard.
